Why is it that card counting is illigal in blackjack? You are using your own mind to gain an advantage as far as I know, so why shouldn’t this be alowed?

Would you reccomend card counting in casinos?
I personally would have a count of 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, and aces with my feet, teeth, fingers and eyes using the Wong Halves counting system and use the Labouchere betting system while shuffle tracking.
