Is there anything wrong with doing this in a casino blackjack game?

I’ve only gambled one other time so I’m not familiar if there are rules regarding how you bet. I have a theory of a way you can almost always leave the table with a profit but you must have a lot of money to do it. Lets say you bet $10 dollars and lose. To compensate for you loss, the next hand you bet $20. If you lose, then to compensate for it, the next hand you bet $40. You keep doing this until you finally win; When you do, you’ll get all your money back with a $10 profit. Its not much considering the amount of money that might be invested into that $10 but I’m sure you get my point. As long as you have a good amount of money to compensate for your losses, which can add up to $1,280 in only 8 hands, you’ll almost always walk away with more money. This isn’t something the average joe would do but let’s say somebody did have enough money to try this; Would it be illegal or just frowned upon?
