Question about General “Black Jack” Pershing?

Do you think that General “Black Jack” Pershing could be the root to the reason why most of the Muslims hate Americans? I know this is the second time I have asked this due to the fact I only had one intelligent response. Just so all of you know I ask this is question for a report for one of my classes so please don’t be retarded in your answers.

Once in U.S. history an episode of Islamic terrorism was very quickly stopped. It happened in the Philippines about 1911, when Gen. John J. Pershing was in command of the garrison. There had been numerous Islamic terrorist attacks, so “Black Jack” told his boys to catch the perps and teach them a lesson.

Forced to dig their own graves, the terrorists were all tied to posts, execution style. The U.S. soldiers then brought in pigs and slaughtered them, rubbing their bullets in the blood and fat. Thus, the terrorists were terrorized; they saw that they would be contaminated with hogs’ blood. This would mean that they could not enter Heaven, even if they died as terrorist martyrs.

All but one was shot, their bodies dumped into the grave, and the hog guts dumped atop the bodies. The lone survivor was allowed to escape back to the terrorist camp and tell his brethren what happened to the others. This brought a stop to terrorism in the Philippines for the next 50 years.

Pointing a gun into the face of Islamic terrorists won’t make them flinch.

They welcome the chance to die for Allah. Like Gen. Pershing, we must show them that they won’t get to Muslim heaven (which they believe has an endless supply of virgins) but instead will die with the hated pigs of the devil.

In Blackjack, after the dealer has dealt the cards, do I apply basic strategy to each additional hit I take?

Let’s say I have 14, a jack(hearts) and a two(clubs). The dealer is showing a queen(hearts). According to BS, I’m supposed to take a hit. Now…when I do the it’s another two(diamonds). That gives me a total of fourteen. At this point, am I supposed to apply BS to the jack(hearts) and the second two(diamonds)–and take a hit? Should I stand? I am using BS strategy charts, and I was playing BJ online, and I was wondering to BS apply to the first cards dealt only, or do you use them as each card is dealt to you?
If I have a three, ten, four dealt in that order, I know that I’m supposed to stand–cause that’s seventeen. But if I get two, jack, two, what should I do [dealer's up card is ten]?

First of all how big is the tank? These are all fairly large fish and need a large tank, if the tank is too small then you will FOR sure have fish beating each other up.
I can tell you right now that the Oscar might beat up the JD.

Get lots of hiding spots. Actually make that 250gal + you might might might be ok.
The gourami gets HUGE.. hence the GIANT gourami!
I would probably get rid of that. They get too big for home aquariums UNLESS you have on of those giant 1000gal plus in home aquariums.

How To Crush The Lottery…

This is the claim of Chris Malcolm, a professional gambler who has has created his own lottery system. I purchased this product to see if it was legit or if it was just another “system” that sounds good on paper, but would produce no results in the real world.

The system included 5 products:

Now I’ll protect copyright laws and not reveal any specifics about any of the systems, but I’ll give a general idea of what each is about.

Pick 3 System

This is probably the weakest system in the package. Because of the large amount of tickets you have to purchase (and the cost of playing them all) every day, this system is neither convenient nor profitable in my opinion.

Your numbers will probably hit multiple times per month, but because the payout is so small on the Pick 3, the cost of playing multiple tickets every day will outweigh the wins.

Pick 4 System

This system is more economical because you’re not playing as many tickets as the Pick 3. However, picking winning numbers is much more difficult because you have an extra digit to predict.

Also, in the Pick 4 it’s more likely that a number shows up twice in the drawing (example: 2-0-8-2). That creates an entire new element as you have to decide what digit, if any, may show up twice.

I tried the Pick 4 system for a week with no wins, and then tracked the Pick 4 numbers on paper along with the numbers that I would have used, and my “hypothetical” numbers didn’t hit either for a whole month.

Because the Pick 4 has smaller payouts as well, you have to win at least twice a month to make a small profit.

I don’t see this system as money-maker either.

Pick 5 System

I don’t have a Pick 5 lottery where I live, so I can’t say what kind of results you’ll get with this system.

I will say that this system does give some good general tips on picking lottery numbers. You should definitely use these guidelines when picking numbers for any lotto game you play.

Pick 6 System

The Pick 6 is the granddaddy of lotteries because the jackpots are so large. Normally millions of dollars.

Malcolm’s Pick 6 strategy is good and bad.

His method of picking numbers with this system is ineffective in my opinion because it is based on a faulty gambling theory.

However, he does provide a chart for picking numbers that I think is worth the cost of the system (which was $47 when I bought it). The chart provides a way to pick multiple numbers and use a wide variety of combinations with these numbers so you can increase your chances of winning.

You should use the chart, but use a different method of picking numbers.

In fact, use the chart, but use numbers based on the tips he gives in his Pick 5 system. That’s the strategy I used, and I did enjoy some small wins in the lottery. (I hit 3-out-of-6 numbers on multiple tickets a couple times).

Scratch-Off Lottery System

This is an entertaining read about playing scratch tickets, and actually does give some good tips on winning money at these games.

By using just one of the tips he offered in this system, I have been consistently winning small prize payouts. I haven’t won anything big, but I have enjoyed several $6, $10 and $25 payouts.

You would have to commit some time and money to hit the big prizes, but I believe it can be done.

Summary

Overall, the products are interesting and do provide some good tips of increasing your odds in lottery games. In reality, that’s all you can do – increase your chances.

There’s no system that can guarantee you a lotto win or help you “crush” lottery games, so keep that in mind with this or any other lottery product being sold.

When the little known professor of mathematics, Edward Thorpe, wrote his now classic book, “Beat the Dealer”, the science of blackjack card counting was officially born.

So what is blackjack card counting and why does it work? We will look at blackjack card counting here and a method any player will find easily to apply and win consistently.

Blackjack card counting & how to beat the dealer

Professor Thorpe proved that if you can follow what cards that have been played; you can also determine what cards were left in the deck.

Having this knowledge can guide a player on how he should play his hand to take advantage of the odds.

If the player could determine that there were more cards left that favored himself (rather than the dealer), the player had an advantage and could raise the bet size to capitalize on his advantage.

In blackjack card counting low cards favor the dealer and high cards favor the player.

Why?

Because the low cards help the dealer to make winning totals on his hands when he must “hit” (this means when he has a 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 total on his first two cards, the rules say he must draw a card).

High cards in blackjack card counting favor the player not only because they may bust the dealer when he hits stiffs, but because both tens and Aces mean blackjacks for the player.

Probability the key to blackjack card counting

In blackjack card counting you are not required to count the numbers of each of the individual cards to get an advantage over the casino.

All you need to know is when the deck is rich or poor in high cards.

Keep the following in mind:

Blackjack card counters do NOT memorize each card dealt.

Blackjack card counting will not tell you what card is coming next.

Card counting is simply a probability theory that can turn the odds in the players favor over the long-term and this was the fact that Thorpe explored in “Beat The Dealer”

How to count cards

All blackjack card counting methods are based upon blackjack basic strategy, this is easy to learn and until you do, there are pre printed cards on the net free.

One very popular method of blackjack card counting is called the Hi-Low System.

Here you will give a value of +1, 0, or -1 to all the cards dealt to all players and the dealer.

Aces and 10-point cards are assigned a value of -1. The number cards of 7, 8, 9 each count as 0. The number cards of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 each count as +1.

So, as the cards are dealt, you keep a running total. The higher the + total, the deck will favor the player.

A player can then increase their bets to take advantage of better odds.

If the total is around the zero mark, nether the player or the dealer has the advantage. Keep the bets in the average zone.

When the total enters the – (minus) range, the deck favors the dealer and you need to be cautious with your bets.

The logic of blackjack card counting also says the more cards that are dealt, the more accurate your card counting will be.

Card counting and multiple decks

The casinos also know the above, so they implemented a multiple decks. While blackjack card counting still works it is better to play at a casino that uses less decks as the odds are better. If multiple decks are played this is how you count.

If you know there are six decks used, and start counting, notice also the used cards and divide it by the decks remaining in the shoe.

If your total is +4 for example, and there are 4 decks left, divide 4 by 4 and you have +1 as youÂ’re total.

Keep an eye on the running count

You also must remember there is a “running total and true total” A running total is the total regardless of the amount of decks used, and a true total is the amount achieved after dividing the running total by the number of decks.

Remember, anything in the + range will be to your favor. Any total in the minus range will favor the dealer.

With practice you will soon get the hang of blackjack card counting, and start winning!

You will be able to bet heavily when the odds are in your favor, but also keep in mind that as blackjack card counting is not probability theory and you have to play it for the longer term.

Short term results can vary but you can win big longer term and thats the aim of blackjack card counting!
