Blackjack Questions?
I’m going to Vegas this weekend and plan on playing a little blackjack, as it’s one of the easier games for gambling newbies to pick up. I picked up one of those strategy cards so I’m getting the basics down on when to hit/stand/double/split. I don’t plan on winning anything (of course the house always wins), just want to gamble a little and have fun and if I win…cool!. Couple questions so I don’t look like a total idiot at the casino. For multi-deck black jack:
1) How do I signal that I want to split my cards? do I just put add a match bet next to my current bet within the circle?
2) How do I signal that I want to double down? do I just add a stack next to my current stack (up to my current bet) within the circle?
3) The Blackjack side bet (I think usually pays 7-1 if you get blackjack first hand)…what are your thoughts..worth it? or just a good way for the casino to slowly get a little more money out of you?

1) An equal bet next to your original bet (with a little separation) and it never hurts to speak your intentions.
2) A bet up to your original bet amount near your bet. Again you can always say what you want, but the dealers usually know what you want to do before you do.

4) If the dealer asks you two or three times to confirm your choice, then you’re playing against basic strategy. They won’t look at the card until they actually deal it, but if you hit a 14 against a dealer 6, you can expect the dealer to hesitate before they give you the card.
Also, if you get on a winning streak, tip the dealers if they’re friendly. They only make minimum wage, so they work for tips.

Many of us are familiar with the traditional game of blackjack. Blackjack switch is a modern twist on the original game, but is it worth playing? What is the house edge? And which version is better for the player, traditional Blackjack or Blackjack switch?
First of all we will have a refresher course in the original game of blackjack. The aim of the game in blackjack is to attain a score as close as possible to 21 without going over. Players are dealt 2 cards initially, as is the dealer. All cards are worth their face value, picture cards are worth 10 and aces are worth either 11 or 1 whichever suits your hand best. The player (you) always goes first and you have the decision to hit, stand or fold. Once you have finished making your decisions and you have not busted out, the dealer has their turn. Normally they must draw to at least 17. Once this has been achieved whoever has the closest score to 21 is the winner. If the dealer busts then the player wins. If a player or dealer has a picture card and an ace it is known as a blackjack. If a player has a blackjack they are paid 3:2 on their bet.
This is all standard stuff; this version has been played for years and is by far the most popular version of blackjack around. However in recent years casino operators have tried to add some variation to the game and have created a number of variations of the original game. Blackjack switch allows players playing 2 hands with an equal bet on each to switch the second card they receive from one hand to another. This action if played correctly can turn 2 bum hands into to very lucrative hands. But (and there is always a but) there is a price to pay.
There are 2 rules which aim to even out the advantage gained by the player switching the hands are as follows. Firstly if the dealer gets a score of 22 then it is a push or a draw. In conventional blackjack if the dealer attained a score of 22 he would bust and you would win the bet. The second difference to affect the odds is the fact that player blackjacks now only pay even money instead of the traditional 3:2 ratio.
Players may only switch the second cards dealt. For example say you were dealt a 7 6 and a 3 4, you would switch the 6 and the 4 to make new hands of 7 4 and 3 6 thus greatly improving your chances of generating a winning hand. In many cases the decision as to whether or not you should switch the cards will be fairly self explanatory, but detailed calculations are very much more complex.
You can play blackjack switch online. Bewise bets has a list of casinos that offer the game (see link at the bottom of the page). The odds are considered slightly better than that of traditional blackjack although the benefits are marginal at best. Overall it makes little difference as to which game you play but it can be nice to play as a change.

The doubles sprawled in equal parts – the half was a gain, the half was a loss. The PlayTech has also one more opportunity to double just a half of the gain in the videopoker.
Just for fun I loaded a European roulette of this mobile casino. I played just a few spins – just to have a look. First, you are running with the joystick across the stakes field to place the bets. Then you pressing the spin button you would see the wheel and then when the ball landed you would see the results. It is clear that the bets are made longer than in the offline mode, especially if they are several. The advantage of this mobile casino roulette game is that there is an option to make blank spins, but disadvantage is that the minimum bet amount of 2 USD even betting on the numbers. The game speed is normal like in Microgaming mobile casinos, about half an hour per 100 hands. The traffic was also within the limits of 150 Kb per 100 hands and about 200 Kb the downloading.
So, in my opinion the PlayTech presents a good platform for mobile casino games – nice graphics, cool interface, maximum convenience for players. There are very few mobile casinos with this software, but their quantity will increase, though the big quantity is not needed. The fact of the good gains enables to recommend the mobile casinos with PlayTech software for wagering.
